Helena Sucero

Helena Sucero was born in Ventura, California (2004) and grew up in multiple houses across the midwest, spending as much time in the woods as possible. They began drawing bugs at a young age and never stopped. They have since received their BFA from Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (2026) and are currently living and working in Milwaukee as a metal sculptor, painter, printmaker, server, and security guard. They are best known for their work blending metal fabrication and oil painting, often inspired by organic forms and processes and led by the hopeful idea that nothing ends, but everything changes. Their work has been featured in numerous Wisconsin galleries, including Charles Allis Art Museum, Task Creative, and Real Tinsel/Underscore. They are a runner up finalist for the Tidal Shift Award (2026).
